How to use WeWeb for digital asset management?

Install and Open WeWeb

The first thing you'll need to do is install WeWeb on your device. You can do this by visiting the WeWeb website and clicking on the download link. Once the download is complete, open the software to begin the process.

Create a New Project

After launching WeWeb, click on the "Create New Project" button. You will be redirected to a new screen where you can name your project and choose its settings.

Navigate to Digital Assets

In the side navigation bar, locate and click on the "Digital Assets" section. Here you can manage, organize, and store all the digital assets related to your project.

Add The Digital Assets

To add a new asset, click on the upload button located in the upper right corner. A dialog box will appear, asking you to browse your computer to locate the asset you want to upload. Select your desired file and press "Open." Your asset will then be uploaded to the project.

Categorize and Organize The Digital Assets

Once you have all of your assets in one place, you can begin to categorize them. To create a new category, click on the "New Category" button, which is located in the top right corner as well. Name the category in a way that makes the most sense for your project and press "Create."

Then, to organize your assets into their respective categories, simply drag and drop them into the appropriate category. You can also rename the assets themselves for better organization by clicking on the name and typing in your desired title.

Edit the Digital Assets

In WeWeb, you can also edit your digital assets. To do this, click on the asset you want to edit. A panel will appear on the right side of the screen, where you will find different editing tools depending on the type of asset. For instance, if it's an image, you will have options to crop, resize or rotate the image.

Preview and Save Changes

All the changes you make in your digital asset management are saved automatically, but it's always good to preview these changes. In the top right corner of the screen, click on the "Preview" option to check everything looks good. If something is not right, you can easily go back, make the necessary adjustments, and preview again.

Use Digital Assets in Your Website

Once you have all your digital assets uploaded and organized, you can start using them in your website. Depending on what you want to do, you could drag and drop these assets into your page builders, use them in your posts, or set them as backgrounds, among other uses.

Managing Your Digital Assets Continuously

Remember, digital asset management is not a one-time task. As your project evolves, you may need to update your assets, add new ones, or even delete old ones. Always ensure to keep your digital assets updated and organized in WeWeb.

That sums up the guide on how to use WeWeb for digital asset management. Following these steps should help you manage, organize, and use your digital assets in a more efficient way, making your web design process easier.
