How to set up a subscription model in WeWeb?

Step 1: Signing Up and Getting Started

To begin with, you must sign up on WeWeb. Go to the WeWeb homepage and click the "Sign Up" button. If you already have an account, click "Login" instead. Once you have logged in, you can start creating your website.

Step 2: Creating a Website

If you haven't already created a website, click on ‘New Website’ from the dashboard. In this step, you can choose a template or start from scratch. Make sure to save changes as you make them.

Step 3: Selecting "Ecommerce" Feature

Now, from the left panel on your screen, select the "Ecommerce" feature. Once you're on the Ecommerce page, you'll see a number of options, including Products, Collections, Customers, and, importantly, Subscriptions.

Step 4: Setting Up Your Subscription Model

Click on the "Subscriptions" option. This will take you to a page where you can set up your subscription model. You'll need to fill in several sections including:

  • Name: This will be the name of your subscription.

  • Description: Here, provide a brief summary of what subscribers will receive.

  • Billing Interval: This is where you decide how often your customers will be charged. It could be daily, weekly, monthly or yearly.

  • Price: This is how much your subscription costs.

Additionally, you may also set up a trial period for your subscriptions.

Step 5: Publishing Your Subscription

Once you've filled out all necessary information and are happy with your subscription model, click the "Publish" button.

Step 6: Adding Subscription To Your Website

Go back to your website editor. Drag and drop the "Subscription Plan" block from the "Ecommerce" section of the left panel to where you want it on your page. Click on the block and from the settings that appear to the right, select the subscription that you have just created.

Step 7: Save and Publish Your Website

After you have placed the subscription plan block, click "Save" button on the top right corner of the screen. After that, when you're happy with all changes you've made and ready to go live, click on 'Publish' button next to it.

Step 8: Testing Your Subscription

To ensure everything is working as expected, it’s a good idea to test your subscription. Navigate to your live website, subscribe to the plan you’ve just created and go through the checkout process.

Remember, setting up a subscription model, while helpful for bringing in consistent revenue, also means regularly providing value for your subscribers. Make sure to always keep your content or products fresh and engaging to maintain and grow your subscriber base.
