How to manage SEO settings for each page in a WeWeb website?

Introduction to SEO Settings in WeWeb

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is a critical aspect of managing your online presence. Having the correct SEO settings can help drive traffic to your website by making it more visible on search engine results. This guide will walk you through the steps to manage your SEO settings for each page on your WeWeb website.

Step 1: Login to Your WeWeb Account

First, open your internet browser and navigate to the WeWeb website. Enter your username and password on the login page to access your account.

Step 2: Navigate to the Website Manager

Once you're logged in, you should see the dashboard. Click on the 'Website Manager' button usually located on the left-hand side of your dashboard.

Step 3: Choose the Website You Wish to Adjust

If you have multiple websites under your account, select the specific website for which you'd like to adjust the SEO settings. Click on the name of the website to access its settings.

Step 4: Access the Page’s SEO Sidebar

From within your chosen website, navigate to the 'Pages' tab. Click on the specific page that you wish to optimize. On the right side of your screen, there should be an SEO sidebar. This sidebar is where you can change and manage SEO settings for that specific page.

Step 5: Edit the Basic SEO settings

Under the SEO sidebar, you can adjust the 'Title Tag' and the 'Meta Description.'

  • The 'Title Tag' is the title of your page as it will appear in the search engine results. It should be unique to each page and accurately reflect the page's content.

  • The 'Meta Description' is a brief summary of your page's content that will appear beneath the title in search engine results. This description should be informative and enticing to encourage users to click on your website.

Step 6: Add Keywords and Alt Tags

Further down the SEO sidebar, input keywords relevant to your page content under the 'Keywords' section. These keywords should reflect the likely search terms users might enter when searching for the content offered on your site.

If you have images on your page, be sure to add 'Alt tags.' These are brief descriptions of the images, which search engines use to understand image content. Alt tags also make your website more accessible for users relying on screen readers.

Step 7: Enable Open Graph (OG) and Twitter Cards

Open Graph and Twitter cards are enhanced link summaries that appear when your page is shared on social media platforms. These cards include an image, title, and description, making them visually attractive and informative for potential visitors.

You can set Open Graph and Twitter Cards by ticking the appropriate boxes and filling in the fields, including 'OG Title,' 'OG Description,' 'Twitter Title,' and 'Twitter Description.' Make sure you select a captivating image under 'OG Image' to attract clicks when shared on social media.

Step 8: Save Your Changes

Once you're satisfied with your adjustments to the SEO settings, click 'Save' to finalize your changes. Remember that SEO is an ongoing process - you should continue monitoring your website's performance and make adjustments to your SEO settings as needed.

With these steps, you're well on your way to optimizing each page on your WeWeb website. Always bear in mind that good SEO practices increase search visibility, drive traffic, and improve the overall user experience.
