How to create a user feedback form in WeWeb?

Getting started

In order to create a user feedback form in WeWeb, the first thing to do is to log in to your WeWeb account. If you don't have an account, you can create one by visiting https://www.weweb.io/. Once you've logged in to your account, you can start creating your user feedback form.

Step 1: Create or select a website

In your Dashboard, you can either select an existing website to add your feedback form or create a new one. To do this, click on the 'New Website' button and follow the steps provided by WeWeb. Once your website is ready, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Access the Form tool

To create your form, click on the page where you want your feedback form to be placed. On the left-hand side, click on 'Elements'. Scroll down until you see the 'Form' option and select it.

Step 3: Customize your Form

Once the form is added to your page, you can start customizing it. Click on the form to select it and use the Handles around the form to resize it according to your requirements.

Step 4: Add required fields to the form

To add fields to your form, click on the '+' button located at the right of every field. You can add a variety of fields to your form ranging from text input, check boxes, radio buttons, dropdown lists and more. Common fields for a feedback form are 'Name', 'Email', and 'Feedback/Comments'.

Step 5: Customize field labels and placeholder text

Click on each field to customize its label and placeholders. The label stands as the name of each field, while the placeholder contains hints or suggestions on how to fill in the field.

Step 6: Set up the form action

Upon completion of the form design, set up the action for when the form is submitted. To do this, click on the form, then click on the gear icon on the top-right corner of the form editor. In the 'Form Settings', define the action upon form submission. You can set up an email notification or connect it to a WeWeb database.

Step 7: Preview and Publish your form

To view how your form looks, select 'Preview' from the top menu. If you're happy with it, go ahead and publish your form by clicking on 'Publish' at the top-right corner of the interface.

Step 8: Test your form

To ensure your form is working properly, it's crucial to carry out a test. This involves filling in your form like a customer would and checking if you receive the form information correctly. After confirming that everything is working fine, you can now start receiving feedback from your users.

Congratulations! You have successfully created a user feedback form in WeWeb. This will allow you to receive valuable input from your website visitors, which you can use to improve your services or products.
