How to create a password-protected digital download area in WeWeb?

Step 1: Log into your WeWeb account
Before you can start building, you first need to login to WeWeb. Go to the WeWeb main site and login using your registered email and password. If you do not have a WeWeb account yet, you can create a new one by signing up.

Step 2: Open your WeWeb editor
Once you're successfully logged in, it'll take you to your Dashboard. From there, Click on the "Editor" on the site you'd like to add a password-protected digital download area to. This will take you to the WeWeb Editor.

Step 3: Start a new page
In your dashboard, click on the "Pages" option on the left side of your screen, then click "+ Add Page". Input the name of your new page, for example, "Download Page", then click "Done".

Step 4: Adding a Digital Download
In your new page, click the + button on the left side of the screen, scroll down to the "Store" section, and select "Digital Product". Place it wherever you want it on the page and customize it according to your preference.

Step 5: Upload your Digital Product
Click on the Digital Product you added, click "Manage Product", and then "Add Digital Files". Select the files from your computer that you want to be downloaded by your users. Make sure to save your changes.

Step 6: Implementing Password Protection
Go back to your dashboard and select "Settings" from the left-hand menu. Choose the "Members Area" option. Toggle the switch that says "Enable password protection on your site" to the "on" position.

Step 7: Select the pages to protect
In the same area, you'll find the "Site Password". Enter your preferred password here. Note that this password will secure all the pages you choose to protect. After setting your password, select "Protected Pages", choose your newly created download page, and click "Done".

Step 8: Testing your Protected Page
Navigate back to your download page and try visiting it just like how a user would. You should now see a password prompt before you can access the download. Enter the password you set earlier to verify that your protection is working as intended.

Step 9: Publish Your Site
Once everything is set up correctly, click on "Publish" at the top-right of your screen. Your new password-protected digital download area is now live and ready to use!

Remember, a strong password is crucial for preserving the security of your digital downloads. So make sure to use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols. Do not share the password anywhere publicly, and only give it out to privileged users.
