Step 1: Log in to WeWeb
In order to create a multi-step form in WeWeb, you first need to access your WeWeb account. If you haven't already, head over to WeWeb's website, then key in your credentials (username and password) to log into your account. If you don't have an account yet, you can signup for one for free.
Step 2: Create New WebSite or Select Existing One
After you're logged in, you'll be navigated to a dashboard showing all of your websites. Select an existing website where you want to add the multi-step form, or create a new one by clicking on the 'Create New Website' button. Follow the prompts and instructions to set up your new website and then proceed to your website editor page.
Step 3: Add New Section
Before you add the multi-step form, you might need to add a new section where the form will reside. To do this, click on the 'Add Section' button (usually found at the bottom of your website). In the popup window, select a layout for your new section then click 'Add'.
Step 4: Add Form Widget
Within your new section, click 'Add Element', in the dropdown list you'll find 'Form'. Click on it to add the form widget to your section.
Step 5: Set Up Multi-Steps in Form
Now you'll need to start setting up the multi-step form. Click on your new form to select it, then head over to the inspector panel on the right side. Toggle the 'Steps' button and then add as many steps as you need by clicking on the '+ New Step' button. You can name each step and adjust the order according to your needs.
Step 6: Adding Inputs to Each Step
Click on a step in the form. Then click 'Add Element' and select one of the form inputs like 'Text Input', 'Email', 'Number', or 'Text Area' depending on the data you want to collect. Additional options like 'Password', 'File', 'Radio Buttons', 'Checkbox', 'Dropdown', 'Date' are also available to choose. You can do this for each step in your form.
Step 7: Adjust Form Settings
Each form input will have settings that you can tweak. This includes placeholder text, making it a required field, and more. You can also adjust the form's overall settings in the inspector panel such as setting submission actions, modifying button text and more.
Step 8: Preview and Publish
Now that you've successfully set up your multi-step form, you should preview it. Click on the 'Preview' button (usually found at the top-right corner of your website). Make sure to test the form's functionality as well. If you're satisfied, then head back and click 'Publish' to make your form live.
And there you have it! You've successfully created a multi-step form in WeWeb.
