How to create a multi-language website in WeWeb?

Step 1: Sign Up or Log In to WeWeb

Your first need to have a WeWeb account to start using its features. In case you don't have it, go to the WeWeb homepage and sign up using your email. It's a straightforward process, and all you need is to provide the necessary information and confirm your email. If you already have an account, simply log in.

Step 2: Create or Choose Your Site

In WeWeb, you can either start from scratch or select from one of the provided templates. If you want to create a new website, click on the “Create a New Site” button on the dashboard. Fill in the necessary information about your site and confirm. However, if you want to use a template, just pick your preferred design from the template gallery.

Step 3: Add Your Content

Once you have your site or template, it's time to add your content. You can add sections, text, images, buttons, and more. To do this, simply drag and drop the desired elements onto your page.

Step 4: Enable Multi-Language Feature

After inserting all the content in your primary language, enable the multi-language function. Go to the “Settings” and click on the “Languages” tab. Here, click on the “Add Language” button, you can choose the additional language you need for your site. Once you've selected and added your preferred secondary language, it will automatically be added to the list of site languages.

Step 5: Translate Your Content

Now it's time to translate your site content into your selected secondary language. Go back to your dashboard and pick the language from the language dropdown you wish to translate to. For each element you have typed in your primary language, retype it in the selected language. Do this for all the elements on your page.

It's important to note that you can use various online translation tools such as Google Translate if you are not fluent in the secondary language. But you should ensure accuracy for the translation to be effective.

Step 6: Review Website

After translating every piece of content, you need to review your site. Follow the same path and process your visitors will, ensuring that all the buttons, links, and navigations are functioning correctly and leading to the right translations.

Step 7: Publish Your Website

Once you're satisfied with the overall site performance, it's time to make your website live. Just go to the top right corner and click on the "Publish" button. You can select a domain or use the available WeWeb domain.

Congratulations! You now have a multi-language website.

Step 8: Updating Your Website

After you have published your website, you can always go back to your WeWeb dashboard. From there, you can update content, add more languages, or adjust some functions. It's important to update your site to meet your visitors' needs and provide them with the most relevant information.

Remember, maintaining a multi-language site involves regular updates and checks to ensure all translations are accurate, and every feature, link, or button functions correctly in all languages.
