How to create a custom music streaming service in WeWeb?

Step 1: Sign Up for a WeWeb Account

The first step to creating your custom music streaming service on WeWeb is to create an account. Visit the WeWeb website and click on 'Sign Up' to begin the process. Enter your required details such as email, password, and then confirm the details to effectively create your account.

Step 2: Set Up Your WeWeb Account

Once you are signed in to your account, you will be presented with your dashboard. On this dashboard, you can start setting up your website. Click on 'New Project' to begin. You will be prompted to select a template for your project. Browse through to find a template that suits your intended design for your music streaming service. Click on 'Use this Template' to proceed.

Step 3: Customize Your Website

After selecting a template, it’s now time to customize your website to align with your music streaming service. On the left-hand panel of your dashboard, you'll find various options for personalizing your site - things like adding a logo, changing the site color scheme, inputting your site name, and more. Ensure you also toggle your website to be a 'Music streaming service' in the website category section.

Step 4: Add a Music Player

Now, you need to add a music player to your website. To do this, navigate to the 'Elements' tab on your dashboard’s left panel. Scroll down to find the audio player. Drag and drop the player to the space on your website where you want it to sit. Adjust the size of the player as required.

Step 5: Upload Songs

After adding the music player, it is now time to populate it with songs. Click on the player, then click on the 'Manage Songs' button. On the next page, click 'Add Songs' to start uploading music from your device. Ensure all songs are in an acceptable format and adhere to copyright laws (ideally, you should have rights or permission to stream all songs you intend to upload.)

Step 6: Create Playlists

Next, you may want to organize your music into playlists. Click on 'Manage Playlists' and then 'Add Playlist'. Input your desired playlist name and add an optional description. Then, add songs to this playlist by clicking on the 'Add Songs' button.

Step 7: Testing Your Music Streaming Service

After your songs and playlists are set, you need to test the functionality of your service. Try playing different songs, switching between playlists, and pausing the music to ensure everything works as it should.

Step 8: Publish Your Website

Once you are satisfied with your custom music streaming service, click on the 'Publish' button at the top right corner of the dashboard. Following this, WeWeb will ask for your domain name. If you don’t have one, you can purchase directly through WeWeb or input your previously purchased domain. After setting your domain, hit 'Publish' again.

Upon completion of these steps, your custom music streaming service on WeWeb will be live and ready for users.
