How to build a dynamic wildlife tracking and information platform in WeWeb?

Step 1: Sign Up for a WeWeb Account

To get started, create a new WeWeb account. You can do this by visiting the WeWeb website and clicking on the 'Sign Up' button. After providing your personal details and verifying your email address, log in to your account. Now you're ready to begin creating your dynamic wildlife tracking platform.

Step 2: Start a New Project

Once logged in, click on the ‘Create New Website’ button located on your dashboard. A prompt will pop up asking you to choose either 'Page' or 'Website'. Opt for 'Website' which gives a broader scope for website building.

Step 3: Select a Template

Scroll through WeWeb’s wide variety of templates until you find one that suits your wildlife tracking platform. Click on your preferred template and select 'Start with this template'. You can always modify it later.

Step 4: Customize your Website

With your template in place, you can now begin customization. Click on any element on the website and you will be presented with a wide array of editing options. You can also drag items onto the website from the 'Add' bar located at the left of the screen.

Step 5: Create Pages for Your Website

To create your first page, click on 'Pages' on the top of your screen, and then click on 'Create New Page'. Name your page adequately, for example, 'Animal Tracking', 'Birdwatching', 'News', 'Gallery', etc. Repeat this process to create as many pages as you need for your website.

Step 6: Add Content to Your Pages

Now, you can add specific content to each of your pages. You can add text boxes, images, videos, databases, and so on. For instance, on your 'Animal Tracking' page, you will want to add maps and animal tracking data.

If you’re adding a database, click on 'Add' on the left side of your screen, scroll down till you see 'Database', drag and drop it on the page. After setting up your database, you can link it with your maps to show real-time wildlife movements.

Step 7: Create Navigation Menu

You can create a menu to guide visitors through your website. Click on 'Menu' and then 'Add Menu Item'. Each menu item represents a page, so repeat this step depending on how many pages you've created.

Step 8: Mobile Optimization

With WeWeb, you can also optimize your website for mobile view. Simply click on the 'Phone' icon located next to the 'Publish' button and adjust elements to fit the mobile screen appropriately.

Step 9: Preview and Publish Your Website

Before publishing your website, it's important to preview and test it. Click on the 'Preview' button located at the top of your screen. If you're satisfied with your website, go ahead and publish it by clicking on the 'Publish' button. You will be prompted to choose a domain name at this point. After choosing a suitable domain name, click 'Publish' again.

Step 10: Maintenance and Updates

Even after publishing, remember that your website isn't set in stone. Keeping your wildlife tracking platform relevant means regular updates and changes. Keep an eye on your published data, revise and update information as necessary, and keep improving your website based on feedback and user interaction.

Congratulations! You've just built a dynamic wildlife tracking and information platform on WeWeb.
