How to build a chatbot within WeWeb without using external services?

Step 1: Create an Account on WeWeb

Visit the WeWeb website and sign up for an account if you don't already have one. You can do this by finding the 'Sign Up' option on their site, entering your email, name, desired password, and confirming your email as directed.

Step 2: Find the Chatbot Feature

Once you are logged in, go to the dashboard of your WeWeb account. There, find and select the chatbot feature on WeWeb's platform. This is typically found in the menu, marked as 'Chatbot' or can also be found under extensions or features depending on the layout of your platform.

Step 3: Initiate the Chatbot Setup Activity

Click on the 'create a new Chatbot' button to kick-start the process of setting up a chatbot on your website.

Step 4: Choose a Name for Your Chatbot

During the setup, you will be prompted to name your Chatbot. Choose a name that aligns with the tone and character of your brand. This name will be used to reference your Chatbot later on, for management and modifications.

Step 5: Define Chatbot Rules and Scripts

After this, you will be asked to define what you want the Chatbot to do, which is essentially creating the rules and scripts for the Chatbot's operations.

Step 6: Create Your Chatbot's Personality

Next up, you will be required to give your Chatbot a personality. This can be professional, friendly, cheeky, etc. Make sure you align the chatbot personality to best suit your brand or business.

Step 7: Design the Look of Your Chatbot

Then, design the look of your Chatbot. Again, this should keep in line with your brand colors, logo, and overall aesthetic so that it seamlessly fits into your website.

Step 8: Select the Languages Your Chatbot will Use

In the settings, select the languages you want your Chatbot to operate in depending on your target audience and business needs.

Step 9: Confirm and Install Chatbot

Once you’re done setting up all your preferences, confirm and install the chatbot on your website. A script will be provided which you can simply insert into the HTML of your site.

Step 10: Test your Chatbot

After the chatbot is installed, ensure to test it out. Correct any errors or issues that arise, and ensure that the chatbot provides value and enhances user experience.

Step 11: Analyze and Improve

Analyze the performance of the bot and utilize feedback to constantly improve and evolve your chatbot so that it truly serves the purpose it was designed for.
