Can I use Webhooks with WeWeb, and how?

Step 1: Understanding Webhooks and WeWeb

Yes, you can use Webhooks with WeWeb.io. WeWeb is a platform that enables users to build and manage websites using visual development tools. On the other hand, Webhooks are automated messages sent from apps when something happens, typically in JSON format.

Step 2: Accessing Your WeWeb Account

Firstly, you need to log into your WeWeb.io account. If you do not have an account, you will need to sign up first. After logging in, you'll be taken to the dashboard, where you will see your websites if you have created any.

Step 3: Navigate to Webhooks Settings

From the main dashboard, choose the website that you want to integrate with Webhook. Once you're inside the website manager, find and click on the "Settings" option from the menu, then choose "Integrations".

Step 4: Adding A New Webhook

Inside integrations, look for the Webhooks section. Here, you'll find options to add new Webhooks. Click on "Add a Webhook".

Step 5: Entering Webhook Details

A new dialog box will open where you will enter the target URL where the Webhook should send a post request when the defined event occurs. You can get this URL from the app to which you want to send data.

Step 6: Choosing Event Type

Next, select an event type for which you wish to send data. WeWeb.io supports Webhooks for various events like publishing sites, adding forms, etc. Choose the one that best serves your data need.

Step 7: Configuring Payload

Depending on the selected event(s), configure your payload (the data sent by the Webhooks). The boxes provided are for entering the payload JSON. This JSON is unique and depends on the data expected by the application receiving the Webhook.

Step 8: Saving Your Webhook

Once these details are filled in correctly, click "Save". This will add your new Webhook to your list in the integrations section. Now, WeWeb will send a post request to the URL you provided every time the defined event occurs.

Step 9: Testing Your Webhook

Finally, it is a good practice to test your Webhook to ensure it works as expected. You can test by triggering the event yourself, like publishing a blog post if your Webhook is set for a publish event. Once the event is triggered, check your designated URL to confirm if the Webhook data is correctly received.

Step 10: Updating and Deleting Webhooks

If you want to update your Webhooks, simply find the Webhook you want to update on the integrations page, click on it, make your changes, and then click "Save". If you want to delete a Webhook, find it on the same page, click on it, and then click "Delete".

That's it! You have successfully integrated Webhooks with your WeWeb.io platform. Now you can sit back and let the data flow automatically every time a designated event occurs.
