Bubble.io is a no-code platform that allows you to build web applications. On the other hand, Sublime text is a sophisticated text editor for code and markup. Generally, Bubble.io is designed to work independently without the need for text editors like Sublime Text, hence there is no straightforward way to integrate them. However, for the sake of giving useful guidance, here's a walk-through on how you can work with these tools concurrently.
Step 1: Create an Account on Bubble.io
Firstly, go to "Bubble.io". Click on "Get Started" button on the top right of the website. You can create your account with quick options such as Google, Facebook, or you can manually input your name, email, and password.
After successfully signing up, you'll be directed to the Bubble dashboard, where you can create and manage your web apps.
Step 2: Create an App on Bubble.io
Click on the "New App" button on your Bubble dashboard. Give your app a name, select a plan (you can choose the free plan), select the app’s primary purpose and check the “I’m not a robot” captcha then click "Create New App". Now you can interact with the Bubble editor where you have your design, workflow, data (database), and marketplace (plugins and templates)
Step 3: Install Sublime Text
Navigate to the official Sublime Text website and download the Sublime Text installer compatible with your system.
After downloading, install it by opening up the downloaded file and following the prompts.
Step 4: Write Your Code
Open Sublime Text and you can start writing your code. You can write JavaScript that will manipulate your Bubble.io front-end. For example, you can write a function that will validate user inputs or manipulate strings and arrays before saving them to the database.
Step 5: Use Bubble’s JavaScript to Bubble feature
This is the closest you can get to the integration between Bubble and Sublime text. Write your JavaScript on Sublime text then bring it back to Bubble by using the “Javascript to Bubble” feature. This function allows you to execute javascript code, written in an external html element, and then send the data back to Bubble.
To do so, go to the Design tab in Bubble.io, drag and drop the HTML element on the page. Click on the start/edit workflow button then choose your trigger, in this case plus > Element actions > Display data. Click on the JavaScript to Bubble element then paste your Javascript code from Sublime Text.
Now you have managed to work with Bubble.io and Sublime Text concurrently, even though it's not an integration in the conventional sense.
