How to integrate Bubble.io with Insightly?

Step 1: Create Account

First things first, it's crucial to note that three separate accounts are necessary for this integration: Bubble.io, Zapier, and Insightly.

Bubble.io:
Visit the Bubble.io website and click on the Get Started button to start the sign-up process. Input your details and create an account. Once you're set up, you may create a new bubble app or use an existing one.

Zapier:
Navigate to Zapier's official website. Click on Sign up for free, fill in your credentials, and hit the Get Started Free button.

Insightly:
Go to Insightly's official website, click on the Try it free button, input your credentials, and create your account free of charge, unless you want higher tiered services.

Step 2: Create and Set Up a Zap in Zapier

  1. Log in to your Zapier account.
  2. Click the Make a Zap orange button on the top right corner.
  3. A new page will be displayed to create a Zap.
  4. On the 1. When this happens... section, search for Bubble in the app directory, and connect it.
  5. For the action event, choose New Data Thing, which will trigger when a new item of data is created in Bubble.io.
  6. Click on Continue and choose your Bubble app in your Zapier account by signing in to Bubble. If Bubble is not available in your account, you'll need to add it.
  7. After linking your Bubble.io account, select the application and data type. Then click Continue.
  8. Test your Bubble.io trigger.

Step 3: Configure Insightly as the Action in Zapier

  1. On the 2. Do this... section, search and select Insightly in the app directory.
  2. Choose an event like Create Contact or Create Project according to your needs, then click Continue.
  3. Now you'll need to sign in to your Insightly account. Input your credentials and click Yes, Continue. If it isn't listed in your Zapier account, add it.
  4. In the Set up action step, match up the Bubble.io trigger fields to the Insightly fields. To include fields from the Bubble.io trigger, click on the small icon on the right side of the field. You'll see a list of fields from Bubble.io that you can include.
  5. After filling in the necessary information, click on Continue.
  6. You can now test your Insightly action. Click on Test and Continue. If the test is successful, your Bubble.io app has been successfully integrated with Insightly.
  7. Click Turn on Zap to enable your integration. From now on, whenever the chosen event happens in Bubble.io, the corresponding action will automatically occur in Insightly.
